Soffii Soe

Sofii is originally from Thailand and grew up in a refugee camp, which caused her to be especially grateful that she and most of her relatives have relocated to Huron, SD. Sofii has one daughter and a loving husband who works hard for their family. Growing up as a refugee, she never thought she would become the person she is today. Sofii is thankful for living in a place she can call home and have more freedoms and opportunities than she could imagine. As God has a plan for everyone, Sofii believes he also has a plan for her.

Fifteen years in the United States, Sofii now knows how important is was to learn to speak and understand English. Celebrating her fourth year as an Interpreter at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union, she loves to help her Karen people that are unable to speak English. She especially enjoys caring for the older generation of Karen who didn't have a chance to learn English in school when they moved to United States. Sofil sees her work as a privilege to serve our valued non-English speaking members.
