HR Support Specialist

Position Summary:
Dakotaland Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time HR Support Specialist. This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Human Resource Department in all facets of human resources including benefits administration, recruiting, policy implementation, reporting of information, employee relations and coordination of new hires and development opportunities for employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with necessary departments to advertise and post job openings, schedule interviews and track employment application process.
- Administer employee record keeping and maintenance such as name changes, title changes, employee directory, wage adjustments, supervisor changes, etc.
- Pre-Onboarding and New Hire Orientation process.
- Assist HR Department and Training Coordinator with organizing and planning new hire group onboarding and other employee development training opportunities.
- Attend Job Shadows, Career Fairs, Student Tours, and other outside events as requested by supervisor.
- Back up for processing payroll for all staff bi-weekly after receiving payroll reports and from 3rd party provider. Complete internal payroll entries to finalize process.
- Knowledgeable in benefits offered to employees in order to answer questions or forward employees on to carriers. At times act as a liaison between employee and carriers to find resolution.
- Assist employees with answering general HR questions regarding benefits HR processes, timekeeping, and interpretations of personnel handbook policies.
- Perform various duties as assigned by supervisor. Comply with applicable Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Expectations:
1-3 years of experience in a combination of HR related experience, supervisor/management experience, training/coaching experience and payroll/benefits. Applicant must possess exceptional time management and organizational skills; along with maintaining confidentiality with all HR information. A valid driver’s license is required in the event that their services are needed at another branch location.

Accounting Assistant

Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Dakotaland Financial Services Manager the employee will support in providing services in the areas of tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll processing. Applicant must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and a strong ability to multi-task. This position also requires confidentiality and excellent interpersonal communication abilities when interacting with clients and teammates. Dakotaland Financial Services LLC is a wholly owned CUSO (Credit Union Service Organization) of Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. We are staffed with the expertise and experience to assist with a full-line of accounting services including, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and preparation and other related offerings.
Education & Experience:
An ideal candidate will have education and experience in accounting, finance or business with an accounting emphasis. Preference granted to applicants with a proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. Prior experience and knowledge of tax preparation is a plus but not required. We are willing to train in the areas of tax preparation to allow for future growth and development in this role.
Schedule:
8:00am – 5:00pm (Mon – Fri)
*Extended hours and Saturdays are expected during Tax Season (December – April)
Wage:
Competitive wage dependent on experience/education. EOE.

Electronic Services Representative

General Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the VP of Electronic Services, this position works with the EFT and DRAFT programs. Assist members and staff with excellent service by answering questions or by directing calls to the appropriate department. Applicant must possess good judgment, have excellent interpersonal skills, and represent Dakotaland Federal Credit Union in various ways in a professional manner.

• Share Collections

Skills:
Must be reliable, accurate, able to work well on your own with little supervision, and work well in group settings. Employee should be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and able to maintain composure in difficult situations. Needs the necessary skills to maintain open communication, work well with other departments, and be professional in all business dealings.

Member Service Representatives are here to assist members by identifying products and services that would be beneficial to their financial success. They should also create awareness of all available products and services so that members may make an informed decision as to what is best for their current financial situation.
Job Expectations:
- Open/Close Accounts: Personal, Business, Trust, Payee, IRAs, Funeral Trust, and Club accounts
- Issue/Modify/Redeem Certificates of Deposits; including IRA Certificates
- Educate and assist members in utilizing the different technology options Dakotaland offers to support our members active lives.
- Be a resource for members financial needs including, but not limited to answering phone calls, performing account transfers, account research/maintenance, visa payments, loan payments, and processing wires.
- Develop a relationship with your members conducive to assisting them with their financial needs thru each season of their lives.
Skills:
- Must possess good judgment and be able to make independent decisions.
- Expected to stay up to date on all credit union services and explain those to members on a general basis.
- Must have exceptional communication skills and a desire to interact with the public.
- Must be a highly productive person with ability to manage multiple duties concurrently.
- Ability to exhibit confidentiality, patience, courtesy, and tact when providing assistance or service to members and collaborating with coworkers.
