Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our team and assist our teams over the upcoming Tax Season (February – April). The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written or spoken content between Karen and English languages while maintaining meaning, tone, and context.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; and one-year experience in translation/interpretation of the English and the Karen language. Position also requires servicing ATMs when necessary.
Expectations:
• Must possess good judgment and be able to make independent decisions.
• Maintain member and credit union confidentiality.
• Must have good listening and communication skills.
• Must be able to reliably commute to branch location and report on time for scheduled shifts.
• Expected to stay up to date on all credit union services and explain those to members on a general basis.

Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to regularly lift/transport up to 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lift/transport up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Environment is primarily indoor. May be required to service ATMs and outdoor equipment in uncontrolled weather conditions including but not limited to high temps, low temps, wind, rain, snow, and ice.
