Emily Nowell was recently promoted to the Redfield Branch Manager at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. Nowell has been employed by the Credit Union for the past 6 years and had filled the duties of Assistant Manager under the direction of long time Manager, Darrell Dickhaut, whom retired this past December. “Emily has the skills and experience we were looking for and has proven to be a true asset to the Credit Union, as well as the community of Redfield. Her transition to Branch Manager has been a natural one and we feel confident she will continue to meet the needs of our growing membership, ” commented Credit Union President, Dan Cumbee.

Ms. Nowell’s previous work experience has been well rounded as she has performed duties as a teller and members services representative, as well as a consumer and mortgage lender. “I am so fortunate to have found a career, for which I feel very passionate. I am also excited to be in a community like Redfield that is thriving and growing stronger every day. It is my goal to continue to serve this community and the surrounding area with the excellent level of service that it has become accustomed to,” stated Nowell.

Emily is originally from Spray, Oregon and is a 2008 honor graduate from Spray High School. She earned an Accounting degree with an emphasis in Finance in 2012 from the University of Phoenix. Emily and her husband, Jeremy, farm near Tulare, SD and are the proud parents of 2 year old son, Luke. When Nowell is not assisting her husband on the farm and being a mom, she enjoys volunteering in the community. The Spink County Relay for Life is one of the events for which she finds time to participate and fundraise.
